For over a decade, C3 Teachers have celebrated innovative inquiry work in schools, districts, states, and countries around the world. Our shared work has taken shape through the C3 Teachers network. With over 15,000 members, C3 Teachers aims to empower teachers as they wrestle with the big ideas and instructional implications of the C3 Framework.
In an effort to support and extend our efforts, we have established the C3 Teachers Inquiry Leadership Academy. In the classic sense of the word, our Academy will be a place of study where we can learn together about inquiry design and implementation in the classroom. But, more than just a place to learn, our Academy will be a place to innovate, create new ideas about inquiry, and engage with and learn from each other about what works and doesn’t work as we elevate inquiry in the social studies classroom.
Community has always been central to the work we have done. Our mission anchors this concept: C3 Teachers is a collaborative effort made up of teachers and teacher educators focused on using inquiry to enhance social studies teaching and learning. We are excited to build on this foundation and innovate the professional learning that we do to include building up and strengthening dynamic communities of practice with people who are really doing the work of inquiry and want to commit to the next level of inquiry based social studies.
